ENGIE Gas Deal: Save Up to 7% + €120 in Bonuses & Cashback
If you're looking to save money on your natural gas bill in France, there's currently a compelling combination of discounts, cashback and referral bonuses available with ENGIE.
ENGIE's Gaz Référence 3 ans offer currently provides a gas supply price up to 7% below the gas reference price, with the supply price fixed for three years.
Even better, you can potentially stack this offer with iGraal and referral bonuses for up to €120 in additional rewards.
🔥 ENGIE Gas Deal at a Glance
Here's what you can potentially get:
Up to 7% below the gas reference price
Supply price fixed for 3 years
€50 ENGIE welcome bonus for new customers
€20 ENGIE referral bonus using my code
€40 iGraal cashback
€10 iGraal welcome bonus when joining through my referral link
💰 Potential total: €120 in bonuses and cashback
And that's before taking into account any savings from the lower gas price itself.
How to Get the ENGIE + iGraal Deal
1. Join iGraal
If you don't already have an iGraal account, use my referral link:
Join iGraal and get the €10 welcome bonus
You can receive the €10 welcome bonus after your ENGIE purchase. This bonus is increased to 15€ if you sign-up by August 27th.
2. Activate the ENGIE Cashback
Once you're logged into iGraal, search for ENGIE and activate the €40 cashback offer.
Make sure you click through iGraal to ENGIE before completing your subscription. This is important because the cashback needs to be tracked through iGraal.
3. Use My ENGIE Referral Code
When signing up with ENGIE, use my referral code (Code Parrain) :
DIE934795
This can give you an additional €20 referral bonus, on top of the €50 new-customer bonus, subject to the applicable terms.
🧾 I Recently Signed Up Myself
I actually used this strategy myself a couple of weeks ago.
I moved within France and switched to ENGIE using a friend's referral, and my €40 iGraal cashback is already showing as pending in my account.
ENGIE has also confirmed that I qualify for both the:
€50 new-customer bonus
€20 referral bonus
So I've personally been able to verify that these different parts of the promotion are tracking after my switch.
🔒 Why Consider a 3-Year Fixed Gas Price?
ENGIE's Gaz Référence 3 ans offer fixes the price of the gas supply component for three years.
That's attractive if you want greater price stability and don't want to worry as much about changes in wholesale gas prices.
However, it's important to understand that your entire gas bill isn't necessarily fixed. Taxes, network charges and other regulated components can still change. You are also not stuck with a 3 year contract, if the gas price drops, you can simply change providers.
The current gas reference price itself is also updated by the CRE, so the comparison should be understood as a comparison of the applicable supply price rather than a guarantee that your total bill will be 7% lower.
⚡ I Don't Recommend ENGIE for Electricity
One important point: I would not automatically choose ENGIE for electricity just because you're choosing them for gas.
In fact, I currently prefer Primeo Énergie for electricity.
I again picked Primeo Energie for my new house as I was able to get an electricity rate approximately 20% below EDF's regulated tariff, with the rate locked through the end of 2027.
I've written a separate article explaining exactly how I made the switch:
👉 How to Save 20% on Electricity in France with Primeo
So my current strategy is actually to shop separately for gas and electricity.
For gas, I currently think the ENGIE offer is the best offer in the market because of the combination of the competitive price, three-year supply price protection and the potential €120 in bonuses and cashback.
For electricity, Primeo is my preferred option based on the rate I was able to secure which was cheaper than ENGIE.
You don't need to have the same provider for both utilities. In my experience, the savings are more important than having everything on one bill.
⚠️ Compare Before You Switch
Even with the current ENGIE promotion, I recommend comparing the total cost of the contract, including:
Price per kWh
Annual subscription
Your consumption level
Your gas tariff/consumption class
Applicable taxes and charges
Your actual savings will depend on your individual consumption and location.
Also remember that promotional offers can change, so check the terms displayed at the time you subscribe.
My Take
If you're looking for a new gas supplier in France, this is a deal I'd definitely investigate.
You can potentially combine:
Up to 7% below the gas reference price + 3-year supply price protection + €50 ENGIE bonus + €20 referral bonus + €40 iGraal cashback + €10 iGraal welcome bonus.
That's up to €120 in bonuses and cashback, before considering the potential ongoing savings from the gas rate.
And because I've personally signed up for the offer, I can confirm that my iGraal cashback is already pending and ENGIE has confirmed my two bonuses.
For electricity, however, I recommend looking at Primeo rather than automatically taking ENGIE for both utilities.
Disclosure: This article contains referral links. If you use my iGraal referral link or ENGIE referral code, I may receive a referral reward at no additional cost to you.
