The American Express green card is offering the first year for free + 10,000 bonus points after 500 euros spend (50 euros equivalent value) via referral. This is a great deal to get a premium card for free for one year + earn 10,000 bonus points (50 euros bonus). American Express isn't everywhere in France, it is accepted at most large companies and online (Carrefour, Monoprix, Decathlon, etc.) as well as an increasing number of small businesses. I personally am not sure this card is worth the annual fee. I am going to wait and see if the Amex Offers program (promotions for shopping with specific stores) is as good as it was in the United States before deciding if I renew my card.
